Traditional Kutch Rabari Embroidery Wool Shawl - Black
This hand woven pure wool shawl features traditional Rabari Embroidery. Beautifully hand twined tassels at the ends of the shawl add to the charm.
Rabari, one of the 6 types of embroideries from the region of Kutch in Gujarat, India derives its name from the Rabari tribe which has been practicing this intricate art since the 14th century. The patterns seen in Rabari embroidery are prominently adopted from mythological characters. This distinctive Kutch embroidery uses square chain interlaced with buttonhole stitches fixed with mirrors.
This handcrafted shawl uses locally sourced wool and natural colours.
